09/1981 - 08/1987 Master´s Degree at the Eindhoven University of Technology (cum laude), including stay from 9/1985 - 5/1986 as visiting scientist at Institute for Molecular Science, Okazaki, Japan
08/1987 - 11/1992 Phd Degree from the University of California at Berkeley (USA), under the supervision of Prof. Yuan T. Lee (1986 Chemistry Nobel laureate). Thesis: Towards rotationally state-resolved differential cross sections for the hydrogen exchange reaction
