Research Topic


Short introduction:


We aim to develop sources of Carrier-Envelope Phase (CEP) stable few-cycle pulses, with moderate energies (10 – 200 μJ) at high repetition rates (≥ 100 kHz) for applications in strong field physics and attosecond science with multi-dimensional detection techniques. These sources have also exceptional qualities for other applications such as material processing.
Our work is based on the implementation of Non-collinear Optical Parametric Amplifiers (NOPA) to amplify ultra short pulses directly from a Ti:Sapphire oscillator. In addition we are interested in the implementation of non-linear processes for further pulse compression down to the single cycle limit, and the generation of high harmonics and isolated attosecond pulses in the extreme ultraviolet with high average power.
